Something Old Turns Into Something New

I was approached by a bride-to-be about reconstructing her grandmothers "veil crown." Unsure of what to expect, I said I would take a look and see what I could do. To my surprise, I was faced with a piece I have never seen before. The crown was made with flowers dipped in a pearl enamel along side rhinestone clusters. I was excited of the possibilities when I started to disassemble it.

Shannon expressed to me that she not only wanted one hair accessory for herself, but two additional for her younger sisters. This heirloom is so special to both her and her grandmother, but she just wanted to give it, "some new age flare." It was so much fun to watch the transformation from the old to the new. We are excited to see Shannon's wedding photos, but in the meantime, here are some of the before and after pictures!
